Oak Park taking pictures: Officer shot, suspect seen leaving financial institution with gun wounded, police say


OAK PARK, Ailing. (WLS) — An Oak Park police officer was shot and critically injured Friday morning, after an individual was seen leaving a financial institution with a gun, police stated.

Oak Park police responded about 9:30 a.m. to the 800-block of Lake Avenue for a report of an individual seen leaving a financial institution within the space with a gun.

Sooner or later, pictures have been fired.

The officer was shot within the left aspect, and was taken to Loyola College Medical Middle in important situation, police stated.

The suspect was shot within the leg, police stated.

Police didn’t instantly present any extra data on the suspect or his or her situation.

It was not clear what led as much as the taking pictures.

Police have blocked off the realm.
