‘Chicago Mysteries’ Takes a Deep Dive Right into a Metropolis Stuffed with Tall Tales


From cemeteries to sizzling canines, Geoffrey Baer investigates a slew of Chicago mysteries in a brand new WTTW particular.

Did a UFO actually hover above O’Hare Worldwide Airport and shoot straight up by means of the clouds? How did an alligator get into the Humboldt Park lagoon? What’s the “satan child” and is Jane Addams’ Hull-Home haunted?

Baer and a crew of investigators set out on a quest to unravel a blended bag of almost two dozen baffling headscratchers in “Chicago Mysteries.”

“We wished a spread of mysteries, so there’s the true crime, there’s the paranormal,” Baer mentioned. “After which, as we labored on it increasingly, we realized there’s this factor of enjoyable … and we actually form of leaned into the enjoyable.
